HDCP

HDCP is defined as high-bandwidth digital content protection. You must have a license to use HDCP as it's a subsidiary of Intel and is used to protect a variety of different products. HDCP is something that will be used more in the future and will keep things we value safe. Many people may not understand what HDCP is, but we will try to break it down and let you understand it better. Basically HDCP is used to protected material from being steal from people who don't want to pay for it or companies who have information that they can afford to be stolen.

Many things that we want to protect are using this thing called HDCP. HDCP uses keys to protect the data and for people to access it you must use these keys which are encrypted. if their isn't a match than the material won't be accessed. HDCP has alot of things that make it a valuable to for encryption, and in the same breath it also has many problems that they are working on to fix. Many countries have filters that try and override this technology so this has really become a big problem. People want to steal things no matter what it is so encryption has become a very big tool for companies and businesses anymore. HDCP has some good ideas that work and everyday people are coming up with ideas to break it.

It seems no matter how hard you try to block people they are always coming up with new ideas to make access available and comprising things and people. I don't think that will ever stop though as people want to steal things rather than pay for stuff. HDCP is working on keeping things safe and this technology will continue to improve until it's perfect. I doubt if HDCP will ever be perfect, but they will keep trying until they perfect it. Years ago it was alot easier to break codes and software that was made to stop piracy. Nowadays more companies are worried about it and searching for ways to stop it.

HDCP is one of the way they have tried to keep piracy down. Hopefully in a few more years this new way of protecting things will take home and they will be able to figure it out. Until they do we will have a piracy problem that will not let up in the near future.
