Dolby Pro Logic

If you are all a student of history and you no doubt remember the Dolby surround sound and Dolby Pro logic insignias. Dolby Pro logic was a very popular insignia on cassette tapes, in movie theaters, and on all other types of audio until the mid-80s. Dolby Pro logic was a technology put in place to decode things encoded with Dolby surround sound. Even though and Dolby Pro logic succeeded in Dolby surround, but turned only surround was still used it to describe the technology even though Dolby Pro logic was its successor.
