DLP Projectors

DLP projector are the only kind of projector technology there is that is all digital the entire way through. With DLP projectors such as an Acer xd1150 DLP digital projector, a Sharp DLP projector, a Sony DLP projector or an HDTV Samsung DLP projector the image that is to be projected is formed on the surface of a projector chip by thousands of electronically controlled mirrors. The mirrors in the DLP video projector shine their light through a spinning color wheel, which helps to modulate the image so that three colors are quickly combined. The color wheels that were used in a DLP home theatre projector used to all be three colors: red, green and blue, but now some of them contain six colors which allows for more depth of color and prevents some of the "rainbow" effect that was seen by viewers when they hurried their eye over the image on the screen at high speed.

DLP vs. LCD Projector technology is a common theme explored today in DLP / LCD projector reviews. An LCD projector uses an entirely different system of projection where three differently colored versions of the image, each of which is complete (although in only one color) are combined and projected. The downside of the LCD projector vs. DLP is that there can be something of a chicken wire / screen door effect between the pixels because they are spaced a little farther apart, whereas in a DLP system the mirrors are so closely spaced that kind of thing tends not to happen at all. If you are shopping for projectors, a DLP / LCD projector review may be a good thing for you to read to make sure that the kind of DLP projector home theater you are getting is right for you and also that you are ready to check the features on DLP projector reviews and looking at DLP projector screens to find the best DLP projector to watch what you want to watch.

The final thing that you want to consider when getting DLP projectors is whether you want DLP projectors that go on a stand and are wheeled around or one of the DLP projectors that can hang from the ceiling. Many DLP projectors can be used in either way; you just need to set up the support structure hanging from the ceiling and the rails on the DLP projector will allow it to slide right in. Make sure that you know what you are going to do in advance, and you should have no problem setting your DLP projector up!
